Michael Gilchrist

SF | Kentucky | 6'7" | 225 lbs | 9/26/93 |
MKG is one of the most competitive players to be draft eligible in recent memory. MKG plays the type of game that will translate well in the NBA. Gilchrist’s game combines lockdown defense, slashing, and a penchant for trash talking. Off the court Gilchrist is a polite and well mannered person that will thrive in interviews.
As one of the younger prospects in the 2012 Draft the St. Patrick’s product has a lot of scouts clamoring. Offensively, MKG has a slight hitch to his jumper but is actually a very efficient shooter and has demonstrated range. Gilchrist aggressively attacks opponents on offense and uses his athleticism and quickness to get to the rim. Gilchrist is an adequate ball handler that can play some point-forward but would be best served being free to attack.
Defensively, Gilchrist is a ferocious and physical defender that will menace opponents. MKG has a tireless motor and drive to be the best and win. Gilchrist is an underrated rebounder that will fill stat sheets.
Scouts already love MKG’s passion. Expect Gilchrist to continue to rise up draft boards and wow teams in workouts.
