Young is a marvelous athlete that looks the part of a pro. While improving on offense as a sophomore Young remains a work in process on the offensive end, Young’s repertoire is limited to mostly dunks and put backs. Young has flashed a jump hook in the post that gives teams hope of continued development.

Defensively, Young is NBA ready. Due to exceptional strength, athleticism, and quickness for his size Young can defend PFs or Cs and the pick and roll. Young is a very has not blocked as many shots as one would expect but has a long wingspan and explosive vertical to get up and contest most shots.

Blessed with good speed and quickness to get up and down the court, Young has the athleticism and explosion to dominate defensively. If Young continues to develop his post game or a jumper he could jump Robinson or Sullinger on draft boards. Overall don’t expect Young to slip past the lottery he has too much ability and potential.
