Harrison Barnes

Barnes was one of the most hyped freshmen in college basketball last year but underachieved early in the season before finishing strong. This season Barnes has been solid but not spectacular but would benefit from a deep NCAA tournament run.
There is a lot to like about Barnes, he is a lengthy wing that has an NBA body, great mobility, and good speed. Further, Barnes has a full arsenal on the offensive end as he is a polished mid-range jump shooter, 3-point range, and an ability to create his own shot or get to the rim. In the past Barnes has even consistently posted up opponents, showing an advanced intelligence few 18 year olds possess. Barnes reminded many scouts and coaches of Kobe Bryant in terms of ability, however he has failed to demonstrate Kobe’s killer instinct and ability to create his own shot.
The future is very bright for Barnes and the Chapel Hill faithful should enjoy this season as Barnes will be a high lottery pick.
